US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 385K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 28K last week to a seasonally adjusted 385K in the week ended March 31, missing expectations at 350K and coming from 357K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 8K to a seasonally adjusted 3.063 million in the week ended March 24 vs. 3.071 million in the previous week (revised).
