US markets rallying on FOMC minutes

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The S&P500 printed a fresh intraday record high at 1,588 pts while the DowJones is closer to the 15,000 pts on Wednesday, pushed by the upbeat sentiment after the dovish tone of the FOMC minutes. The greenback is picking up pace as well, reverting the initial losses and climbing to fresh session highs around 82.60/65.
DowJones is advancing 1.03%, followed by the S&P500 and the Nasdaq, up 1.25% and 1.81%, respectively.

Chinese imports and later the unexpected dovish FOMC minutes have bolstered the upside momentum in the European bourses, closing in a ‘sea of green’ on Wednesday. The IBEX35 regained the 8,000 pts level advancing 3.35% and seconded by the DAX, 2.27% and the CAC40, 1.99%.
After climbing to fresh weekly lows above 1.3120, the single currency retraced those gains and dipped to the current session lows in the vicinity of 1.3055/60.

Commodities are trading in red, with the barrel of WTI down 0.12% at $94.09 and the ounce troy of gold following suit at $1,560 or -1.65%.

Forex Flash: USD/JPY stays contained - UBS

Wednesday was an extremely interesting day for Japan, says the UBS analyst team as JGB yields have suddenly risen. "The yield of two and five year bonds was suddenly twice as high as the week before and trading on JGB's had to be suspended temporarily", they comment.
